Why does Kristen Stewart always look miserable?

NY Daily News put out an article about Kristen Stewart stating the reasons why she always seems miserable.

"She's young, beautiful, stars in the hugely successful "Twilight" franchise and (possibly) dates her equally good-looking British co-star. So why does Kristen Stewart always look unhappy?

The 20-year-old actress sets the record straight in the June Issue of Elle, saying that the perma-frown she often wears on the red carpet is really just a guise.

"People say that I'm miserable all the time," she says. "It's not that I'm miserable, it's just that somebody's yelling at me … I literally, sometimes, have to keep myself from crying … It's a physical reaction to the energy that's thrown at you."

Despite attending countless movie premieres, press junkets and award shows, Stewart says she has yet to become accustomed to the throngs of screaming fans that worship her.

"I think it's funny that when I go onstage to accept an award, they think I'm nervous, uncomfortable, and awkward – and I am – but those are bad words for them," she explains.

But don't mistaken her distressed demeanor for someone who doesn't care about their career.

"I hate it when they say I don't give a s--t, because nobody cares more than I do," she says. "I'm telling you I don't know anybody who does this that gives a s--t more than I do."

Unfortunately for Stewart, the actress' success on the big screen has lead to an invasion of privacy in her personal life.

Besides the pesky paparazzi, who she calls "vicious" and "mean," Stewart has even encountered zealous fans who are willing to cross the line in order to meet her.

"Somebody knocked on my hotel room door and asked for a light, then said that they were a big fan," she says. "I was like, ‘Do you really need me to light your cigarette? How do you know what room I'm in?' I can't be by myself and I like being by myself."

Stewart won't be alone for long as she is about to embark on a busy promotional tour for the third installment of the "Twilight" saga, "Eclipse," which opens in theaters June 30.

As for what Twi-hards are dying to know, Stewart refuses to belong on either Team Edward or Team Jacob.

"I would never cheapen my relationships by talking about them," she says of her "Twilight" co-stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner . "People say, ‘Just say who you're dating. Then people will stop being so ravenous about it.' It's like, No they won't! They'll ask for specifics."
